Hang Gliding Experience for One near Reno,NV

In the early days of hang gliding, enthusiasts were restricted to gliding down hills and mountain edges on low-performance gliders. However, advancements in technology have given pilots the ability to soar for hours at a time and gain thousands of feet of altitude in thermal updrafts, mountain waves, ridge lifts, and convergence. Hang gliding near Reno is fairly safe if executed properly with the appropriate equipment, and almost anyone can do it as no previous experience is required. Hang gliding is fairly easy to learn and you can get started by training in “bunny” hills after a short classroom briefing. Basic principles of flight, familiarization with the equipment, rigging and ground work are all covered. Then you get to practice flying the glider at an altitude no higher than 10 to 20 feet. This helps ease any apprehension that you may have till that moment when you’re ready for take-off.

Once airborne, you’ll feel confident and relaxed with the gentle breeze in your face and a world class instructor by your side. You will enjoy the bird's eye view of Nevada, a stirring spectacle that only a handful of people get to see and enjoy. Your instructor will also teach you how to control and maneuver the glider. You can just imagine how cool it is to be able to "fly" your first time up. You can choose to fly the glider or simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking views while your pilot shows you around the vast blue sky. Before you know it, it’s time to float earthwards on a slow glide with a smooth landing. Hang gliding near Reno is truly a unique experience. It’s not surprising to note that people across the country flock to Nevada for this one-of-a-kind aerial adventure.
